The Narcissistic “Covert” Agent Wants Some Attention
Yesterday conservative commentator, Bob Novak, revealed two of his three primary sources for the infamous news story that supposedly outed Valerie Plame as a CIA officer. Among the revelations where that Novak found the name of Valerie Plame through a Who's Who of America listing in which her own husband, Joseph Wilson, has posted. Real go job maintaining your wife's supposed cover there Joe.
Not to be outdone by the publicity generated by the Novak revelation, Plame and her husband Wilson have now filed suit against VP Dick Chenney, Scooter Libby, and Karl Rove. The suit claims that there was a conspiracy among these individuals and as many as 10 unnamed individuals to intentionally put the couple and their children in danger as retaliation for Wilson speaking out against the Bush administration's WMD related reasons for going to war in Iraq. Here is the AP News story talking about the suit.
After reading through the complaint filed with the court I found one really interesting line. "The further facts underlying the causes of action in this Complaint are recited herein on information of belief...". That's basically legal speak for "we don't have any really evidence, we just have a bunch of information that we believe means we're right and that Karl Rove is the devil."
1 Comments:
Plame was about as covert as a Playboy model.
