How to Identify a Liberal Foil Hat Wearer

There is a new breed of American liberal out there. In person they are very easy to identify. Many look like the picture included in this post. Others might look like your typical reject from the 60's peace movement.

But in their new natural habitat (the internet) they will attempt to blend with all the other visitors of the World Wide Web. This new breed is the Liberal Foil Hat Wearer. They've always been around but they have been generally marginalized by the mainstream Democrats. However, there has been a huge population boom in response to a non-Democrat in the White House and a Republican majority in the Legislative branch. However they are still very stealth like on the internet, but they can still be spotted if you keep your eyes open.

1. Slight alterations of American symbols. Their favorite seems to be the American flag. You might see the flag upside down or with a peace symbol where the stars should be. Now this on its own does not automatically translate a Foil Hat Wearer. But it is a good visual indicator.
2. Attempts to draw parallels between the founding fathers well known foil hat wearers like Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin or Air America radio show hosts.
3. They celebrate New Years Eve not on December 31st, but instead during the Yearly Kos Convention.
4. Their idea of a quality education does not take place in the classroom, but instead the picket line around the statue of a "dead white guy".
5. Every time they hear something they don't like they yell "Damn You Halliburton!!!"
6. They still think AlGore won the 2000 Presidential Election and when confronted with facts that contradict that idea they tell you that is only propaganda provided by Karl Rove.
7. They believe "Deanie Babies" is a generation of people that has a larger population than the Baby Boomer generation.
8. They believe that every war in American history was caused by Karl Rove, Halliburton, Dick Chenny, Don Rumsfeld, or the NSA.
9. They believe that Michael Moore is a great American and George Washington was a vile slave owner who should be removed from the history books.
